Kenya’s stock market, which is the biggest in East Africa, has seen its fortunes turn negative with the decline dragging valuations to the weakest since 2009.
Domestic investors are favouring bonds and foreign buyers are waiting for lower valuations, it is presumed the stock prices may have further to fall.
